Clean that oven easily

Its nearly that time of year when ovens are being tested to their maximum with large family dinners.

Before the big day, a complete clean of the oven is a good idea to remove all that burnt on food, grease etc and to keep it in peak condition.

One product we found to be really effective when used properly and with patience is CIF Perfect Finish Oven and Grill. To start with, strip all of the racks out of the oven and place them in a plastic bag (any bag will do it if doesn't have holes!) and can be closed up with everything inside. Use the CIF cleaner and spray liberally onto the racks and fold or close the bag up to keep it as airtight as possible, and then just leave it for as long as you can, turning the bag often to keep the fluid moving.

After a while (at least 2 hours), remove the racks and run under a hot tap and wipe any remaining stuck carbon off with a sponge or scourer (a light wipe should be all that is needed)

For the inside of the oven, remove any loose debris and spray the CIF liberally and close the door. Again, after a couple of hours, any stubborn carbon build-up should wipe off fairly easily, but a gentle rub may be needed. If this doesn't work because the residue is really baked on, Oven Pride is the best option, but use with extreme care, as it is highly acidic and burns skin and almost anything it comes in contact with - but it does work!!

Total Block Services (https://www.totalblockservices.uk) clean ovens for letting agents at end of / start of tenancy and use these products on a regular basis as they are easily obtainable and easy to use.
